France-based BNP Paribas renewed its partnership with Mistral AI for three years to boost its cybersecurity defences. This comes amid concerns among European banks that powerful AI models, such as Anthropic's Mythos, designed to identify vulnerabilities across software systems, could enable cyberattacks on financial institutions. "We need to prepare ourselves for that," the bank said.
