What changes for WhatsApp, Telegram users as SIM binding rule takes effect on Jan 1, 2027?

Under SIM-binding rules effective January 1, 2027, messaging accounts such as WhatsApp and Telegram must remain linked to active SIM associated with Indian mobile number used for registration.
