A total of 70 Pakistanis holding No Obligation to Return to India (NORI) visas, entered India through Integrated Check Post (ICP) at the Attari-Wagah border, officials said. Pakistanis married in India weren't allowed to return after India suspended all Pakistanis' visas over Pahalgam terror attack. Asma, who'd gone to Pakistan to visit her parents, was among those who entered India.

Russia announces surprise ceasefire in Ukraine from May 8-10

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday declared a three-day ceasefire in Ukraine between May 8 and 10. The Kremlin said it expects Ukraine to follow through the ceasefire, but has said that they would respond if the ceasefire is violated. The ceasefire is taking place due to Russia's Victory Day on May 9, which marks the end of World War-II.

UK scientists to attempt dimming the Sun

An experiment to dim the Sun to curb global warming is expected to be approved by UK government in coming weeks, Telegraph reported. Outdoor field trials, including injecting aerosols into atmosphere or brightening clouds to reflect sunshine, are being mulled by scientists, the report added. UK's advanced research and invention funding agency has set aside £50 million for the projects.

Although Akhtar and Basit's channels weren't named in the government-issued list, accessing them on the platform displays a message stating they are unavailable in India. India signs ₹63,000 crore deal to buy 26 Rafale-M fighter jets from France

The agreement includes 22 single-seater Rafale-M jets and four twin-seater trainers, with deliveries starting in a few years and expected to be completed by 2031. Security forces located Pahalgam attackers at least four times in different spots over the past five days and came very close to cornering them in forests of south Kashmir, The Indian Express reported quoting sources. On one such occasion, Indian forces even exchanged fire with the terrorists, the reports said. "We are sure we will get them," an official said.

India hits back as Pakistan fires across LoC for 4th straight night
