China threatens EU with retaliation over France & Germany's 'kill-switch' proposal

China has threatened the EU with retaliation if the bloc works on a new trade tool dubbed "kill switch", proposed by France and Germany. "China opposes politicising...trade issues...If the EU side insists on adopting restrictive...measures...China will have to take countermeasures," it said. EU is preparing the trade-defence tool to protect its market from low-cost Chinese imports.
