The UK police on Friday carried out a controlled explosion outside US embassy in London after a suspicious package was found at the premises. Pictures and videos posted online showed heavy presence of police and fire services hustling to control the situation. Separately, a large part of London's Gatwick Airport was evacuated following a security threat.
