The Supreme Court agreed with a PIL criticising police for uploading videos and images of accused on social media, adding that they "shouldn't create a bias". A bench of CJI Surya Kant, Justices Joymalya Bagchi and Vipul M Pancholi added that such actions affect the chances of a fair trial. "The problem is the atomised social media," they further said.
