Shares of Indian OMCs jump by up to 3.5% after premium petrol price hike

Shares of Indian state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) surged by up to 3.5% on Friday after an increase in premium petrol prices. The shares of Indian Oil jumped by 1.40%, Bharat Petroleum by 0.65%, and Hindustan Petroleum by 3.53%. The prices of premium petrol, including Indian Oil's XP95, Bharat Petroleum's Speed, and Hindustan Petroleum's Power, have been increased by ₹2.09-₹2.35/litre.
