Nearly 11 lakh names deleted from Delhi's electoral roll before SIR: Report
Nearly 11 lakh names were deleted from Delhi's electoral rolls between January 2025 and June 2026, before the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise began, Hindustan Times reported. This represents around 7.07% of Delhi's electorate in 2025 and 11.32% of the electorate in June 2026, the report added. Officials said deletions are routine, and electoral rolls may be revised quarterly.
