Several former colleagues of Sam Altman said the OpenAI CEO "lacks extensive expertise in coding or machine learning", according to a New Yorker report. "Multiple engineers recalled him misusing or confusing basic technical terms. He built OpenAI, in large part, by harnessing other people's money and technical talent," the report said. It added that some insiders consider him a "sociopath".
