Punjab man consumes poison after being 'beaten up' for raising drugs issue

Jagseer Singh allegedly swallowed a poisonous substance outside the Deputy Commissioner's office in Punjab's Sangrur, claiming that authorities had failed to act against the alleged sale of drugs in his village. He claimed that he was beaten up by the village sarpanch and his associates after he posted a video regarding drugs. Singh is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
