France's government falls as it loses no-confidence vote

French lawmakers have ousted the government in a no-confidence vote on Wednesday. Prime Minister Michel Barnier's government is France's first to be forced out by a no-confidence vote in more than 60 years. Barnier had attempted to pass part of his government’s budget for 2025 using a controversial constitutional mechanism that bypassed a vote in the legislature.
