China buys 1 mn tonnes of US soybeans ahead of Xi-Trump meeting

China has bought around 1 million metric tonnes of US soybeans this week ahead of President Xi Jinping's expected visit to Washington later this month, Reuters reported. The latest deals take China's total US soybean purchases to nearly half of the 25 million tonnes that the White House said Beijing had committed to buying annually through 2028.
