A study at the University of Bologna has revealed that some people keep making the same bad decisions because their brains are "highly cue-driven". Such people rely heavily on external signs, like a specific sound, image, or environment, to make choices. Even if that choice causes trouble or leads to a bad outcome, their brain still makes those choices.
