Air pollution, high temperatures increasing cases of stroke: Study

A Lancet study revealed that air pollution, high temperatures, and metabolic risk factors like high blood pressure are significantly increasing global stroke cases and deaths. Researchers found that the impact of high temperatures on stroke-related mortality has risen by 72% since 1990. Additionally, particulate matter air pollution now contributes as much as smoking to fatal brain bleeds.
