BJP leader Madhavi Latha said "Every Hindu of India needs to wake up" over reports that beef tallow was present in ghee to make Tirupati laddoos. "Many devotees come to Tirumala Venkateswara Temple from far away to seek blessings....which has been insulted and made impure," said Latha. "God can never be impure but our 'aastha' has become impure," she added.
