A humanoid robot broke the human half-marathon world record by over 7 minutes at 2026 Beijing E-Town Half-Marathon on Sunday. Honor's robot Shandian (Lightning) completed the 21-km course in 50 minutes and 26 seconds. Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo's had set the human world record of 57 minutes in March in Lisbon. Several other humanoid robots outpaced humans in the Beijing half-marathon.
