Bihar voter rolls grow by 1.4 million post-SIR

Bihar's electoral roll rose to 75.5 million voters by October 1, 2026 — up 1.4 million from the 74.1 million recorded after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) ended in September 2025. Of 1.87 million Form 6 applications filed, 1.4 million were approved. ECI has also waived the separate parental-linkage declaration for new enrolments.
