Mastercard's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Sachin Mehra informed the company and his colleagues that he would be undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a blood cancer. "It was detected very early, with scans and biopsies indicating it is highly localised and curable," Mastercard said. Mehra, Mastercard's CFO since April 2019, will remain actively involved in daily operations.
