The Karnataka government has acquitted three senior IPS officers more than a year after a stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru killed 11 people. The officers include former Police Commissioner B Dayananda, former ACP Vikash Kumar Vikash, and former DCP (Central) Shekhar H Tekkannavar. The government said it had reached its decision after reviewing each officer’s written defence.
