Mumbai petrol dealers may stop UPI payments from Oct 15

Mumbai's Petrol Dealers Association has warned to discontinue UPI payments at fuel stations from October 15 if MDR charges are imposed on UPI transactions above ₹2,000. The association wrote to RBI Governor seeking full exemption for fuel retailers, warning the charges would cause significant financial pressure on dealers.
