China has become the first country to mass-produce T1200-grade carbon fibre, which is considered the world's strongest carbon fibre. China has said that it has achieved mass production with about 100-tonne annual capacity. Created by state-owned CNBM, the material is thinner than a human hair yet about ten times stronger than steel.
