Andhra Pradesh government is planning to draft a comprehensive framework to restrict social media access for children below 13 under a "graded access" model, with complete restriction for them. The state is also planning to install age verification through "age tokens" integrated with DigiLocker. Those aged 13 to 16 years will be allowed access to a "safe mode" digital environment.
