During the war with US, Iran had reportedly set up secret cells in Iraq to carry out strikes on Gulf countries hosting US bases, a Reuters report said. Around 3-4 cells were established in Iraq, each with about 10 elite Iraqi Shi’ite Muslim fighters who launched drone attacks against Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and UAE between April 20 and May 17.
