The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 concluded on Wednesday after 45 days of celebration in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. The next Kumbh Mela will be held in 2027 in Nashik, Maharashtra. The religious event will be held at Trimbakeshwar, approximately 38 km from Nashik. As per reports, Kumbh Mela 2027 will take place from July 17 to August 17.

How is net run-rate calculated in cricket?

Several users took to social media to complain they were unable to send messages, while some complained they were logged out from WhatsApp. More than 10,000 reports of issues with WhatsApp were recorded on the DownDetector website.

EPFO retains 8.25% interest rate on employees' PF deposits for 2024-25

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has decided to retain an interest rate of 8.25% for employees' provident fund (EPF) deposits for the financial year 2024-25. Notably, the EPFO's Central Board of Trustees held a meeting, chaired by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, on Friday over the matter. Last year, the rate was increased to 8.25% for 2023-24 from 8.15% for 2022-23.

Bomb blast at seminary in Pakistan; 5 killed, dozens injured

As many as five people were killed while dozen others were injured in a bomb blast at a seminary in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday. No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack inside the seminary, which is known for links with the Afghan Taliban. The suicide bombing comes ahead of Ramadan.

As many as 57 workers, who were engaged in road construction work, have been trapped after a massive avalanche hit Badrinath on Friday. Of those trapped, 16 workers have been rescued so far, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said. "Due to heavy snowfall, the rescue team is facing difficulties in reaching there," a BRO official said.

Boat catches fire in middle of sea off the coast in Alibaug

A fishing boat caught fire around 6-7 nautical miles from the coast in Alibaug around 3-4 am, Raigad Police said. A video of the fire shows heavy plumes of smoke emerging from the boat in the middle of the sea. Police said the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy rescued all 18 crew members from the boat safely.

Pakistan will get $125,000 (₹1.09 crore) for participating, $140,000 (₹1.22 crore) for finishing seventh or eighth and $17,000 (₹14.86 lakh) for securing a point through their abandoned match against Bangladesh.
