Sri Lanka mandated a QR code-based system at fuel stations amid a severe fuel crisis, with each registered vehicle being assigned one QR code. Sri Lanka aims to ensure fair fuel distribution, prevent hoarding, and protect fuel reserves, its Energy Ministry said. It also announced weekly fuel quotas for motor cars and three-wheelers (15 litres each), and motorcycles (five litres).
