Sindhu beats Chiu for 2nd time in a month, reaches French Open semis

Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu kept India's campaign alive at the French Open by reaching the women's singles semi-finals at the Arena Grand Paris on Friday. The Indian shuttler, who is ranked 11th in the world, defeated world number 17 Chiu Pin-chian of Chinese Taipei 21-13, 21-14. Sindhu had also beaten Chiu at the Asian Games 2026 on September 26.
