Vehicles running on E20 fuel showed a 2-6% drop in fuel consumption compared with E10 fuel in controlled tests, Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) Director Dr Reji Mathai said. Fuel consumption was measured in a temperature-controlled laboratory using chassis dynamometers to isolate fuel's impact. The tests were conducted jointly by ARAI with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
