Air India plane lost complete control for 4 seconds: Airbus on flight that dropped 300 ft
Airbus' initial analysis of the Air India plane, which dipped 300 feet and whose pilot tested positive for marijuana, found that it lost control for four seconds, NDTV reported. The A320 lost control after its three hydraulic systems malfunctioned, causing "total loss of elevators...aileron surfaces...and remaining spoilers". Amid the 4-second control loss, the plane's autopilot also disconnected.
