India, Nepal boost trade ties, tackle preferential access misuse
India and Nepal held bilateral trade talks in New Delhi on September 16-17, reviewing market access, customs facilitation, and connectivity. Both sides discussed preventing misuse of preferential trade arrangements. Bilateral trade stood at $9.34 billion in FY2025-26. India remains Nepal's largest trade partner, accounting for two-thirds of its external merchandise trade.
