Tiny village votes to leave UK in protest against housing migrants

A small village in England with a population of 350 held a symbolic referendum and voted to leave the UK in protest against the government's plan to house over 1,000 male asylum seekers nearby. With a 92% voter turnout, 285 Piddington residents voted to become an independent state, and 26 voted against it. The referendum was dubbed "Battle of Britain".
