China has announced up to 42.7% tariffs on certain dairy products from the European Union. This comes after Beijing started a probe into dairy shipments from the region in 2024. In a statement, China's Ministry of Commerce said that EU subsidies for dairy products had caused "substantial damage" to its domestic dairy industries.
