The India Meteorological Department released a list of the 10 hottest cities in India on Sunday. Akola in Maharashtra topped the chart at 46.9°C, followed by Amraoti at 46.8°C and Banda in Uttar Pradesh at 46.6°C. Other cities included Wardha, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Yeotmal, Prayagraj, Nagpur, and Adilabad, all recording temperatures above 45°C amid severe heatwave conditions.
