Products made from a barrel of oil (159 litres) are 42% petrol, 27% diesel, 10% jet fuel and 4% LPG. Other products include 7% petrochemical feedstocks, 5% marine fuel/heavy fuel oil, 2% lubricants and waxes, and 3% asphalt. Crude oil prices rose ₹91 to ₹9,284 per barrel, hovering near its record levels, in futures trade on Monday.
