Mere bank credit doesn't prove guilt: Court in cyber fraud case

A Mumbai court acquitted a Jharkhand resident in a cyber fraud case, ruling that merely receiving defrauded money in a bank account does not prove criminal conspiracy. Prosecution failed to prove case beyond a reasonable doubt, the court said. The victim lost nearly ₹4 lakh in fake PAN update and OTP scam, while fraudulent SMS was traced to Jharkhand's Jamtara.
