Maharashtra FDA cancels Cadila Pharma licences over brand confusion

Maharashtra FDA cancelled sales licences of Cadila Pharmaceuticals' three CFA warehouses in Pune, Nagpur, and Thane. Inspections found Aciloc and Aciloc+ brands — containing different active ingredients Ranitidine and Famotidine — were nearly identical, risking wrong medication dispensing. Wrong pack sizes and supply mismatches were also found. Bombay High Court had earlier directed fresh show-cause notices.
