President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday undertook a submarine sortie at the Karwar naval base in Karnataka. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi accompanied the President onboard INS Vaghsheer, the Indian Navy's indigenous Kalvari class submarine. President Murmu became the second President to undertake a submarine sortie after former President APJ Abdul Kalam.
