After massive crackdown on PoK protestors, Pak PM calls for dialogue

Following a massive crackdown by Pakistani forces in PoK, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif said disputes should be settled through negotiations rather than confrontation. He further indicated that his government would be willing to engage with Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), which is leading anti-government protests in PoK. About 80 people have been killed since protests began in June 2026.
