A doctor was cheated of nearly ₹26,000 after he learnt that the hotel near Nainital where he booked rooms didn't exist. He said he found a 'Kainchi Dham Ashram' hotel online and initially paid ₹13,050 which the hotel's alleged employee claimed he didn't receive. Gupta made another UPI payment of ₹ 13,450, after which the employee stopped answering calls.
