After taking oath as an Assam MLA, AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal commented on the declining total fertility rate and said, "The government should reward people for having more kids, and also give them the required facilities." Ajmal, who was elected from the Binnakandi constituency, added, "The Centre shouldn't interfere with people. Let them live the way they want."
