Norway's King Harald V's health deteriorates after bacterial blood infection
Europe’s oldest reigning monarch, Norway’s King Harald V, saw his health deteriorate over the weekend while receiving treatment at a hospital. The 89-year-old developed complications related to treatment for haemolytic anaemia, a condition in which red blood cells are destroyed faster than the body can replace them. The Royal House of Norway said he has responded well to treatment.
