The government has listed loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, dizziness and headaches as the most common side-effects of taking fat-loss drugs, which are now available at reduced rates across India. Pancreatitis, medullary thyroid cancer, acute (sudden) kidney injury, worsening diabetes-related retinopathy and gastroparesis have been listed as severe but rare side-effects.
