Abbas Ansari, the son of former gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, was granted bail by the Supreme Court in a money laundering case. The court had issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and sought its reply on Ansari's appeal challenging the Allahabad HC order rejecting his bail. Abbas, who is an MLA from Mau, is currently lodged in Kasganj jail.
