Startup spends 6 days, ₹38 lakh on AI to develop Chrome exploit, wins ₹2 crore

Cybersecurity startup XBOW said its team spent $40,000 (around ₹38 lakh) in computing costs over six days to develop a full-chain exploit for Google Chrome using OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol model. The exploit could affect a billion Chrome users on Windows. Google awarded XBOW a $250,000 (around ₹2.38 crore) bounty, the first full-chain reward under its 2026 rules.
