Chinese troop presence along LAC reduced in 2025: Defence Ministry

The deployment of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) was significantly reduced in 2025, the Defence Ministry's annual report stated. The PLA, however, continued to maintain 10 combined arms brigades along the LAC and 10 brigades at traditional training areas. India's deployment remains robust across all sectors of the LAC, the report further said.
