India beat Germany, women's team defeat Uzbekistan at Chess Olympiad

India defeated Germany 2.5-1.5 in Round 9 of the Open category at FIDE Chess Olympiad 2026 on Friday. Gukesh D beat Alexander Donchenko, while R Praggnanandhaa, Arjun Erigaisi and Nihal Sarin drew against their respective opponents. In Women's section, India recorded 3-1 win over Uzbekistan, with Divya Deshmukh and Vantika Agrawal securing the wins.
