Nine students from Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, once considered a Maoist stronghold, have cleared the NEET-UG 2026 re-exam. They studied at a residential coaching centre run by the district administration called Chhu Lo Aasman, which helps students from backward areas prepare for competitive exams. Most of the students who qualified hailed from families of farmers or daily wagers.
