Nepal allows citizens and Indians to carry up to ₹25,000 in Indian notes

Nepal has allowed Indian and Nepali nationals to carry Indian currency notes of ₹200 and ₹500 denominations worth up to ₹25,000 across the border, provided they were issued on or after November 9, 2016. The Nepal Rastra Bank said ₹500 and ₹1,000 Indian notes issued before November 9, 2016, will continue to remain prohibited in Nepal.
