What will happen if an IPL team pays a player over or under their retained value?
IPL has set ₹18 crore, ₹14 crore, ₹11 crore, ₹18 crore and ₹14 crore for five retentions apart from ₹4 crore for uncapped player retention. If a team pays Retained Player 1 ₹20 crore instead of ₹18 crore, additional ₹2 crore would be cut from its purse. If it pays Retained Player 1 ₹15 crore, ₹18 crore would be cut.
