Pradyut Bordoloi, who left Congress and joined BJP, said he started facing humiliation within Congress for supporting Shashi Tharoor. "I was shunted out from every forum inside the party," Bordoloi stated. He is a two-term MP and four-time MLA and has also served as an Assam cabinet minister. Bordoloi had been associated with the Congress since 1975.
