The first phase of 2027 Census will begin with houselisting operations and the housing census from today, April 1, with each state and Union Territory conducting it over a specified 30-day period. For the first time, it will be conducted digitally, with self-enumeration open till April 15. In this phase, information about housing conditions, amenities and assets will be asked.
