German FM cancels India visit amid Berlin political turmoil

German Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil cancelled his India trip, citing 'current developments' in Berlin. The decision followed Labour Minister Baerbel Bas's resignation, who stepped down citing her stepdaughter's death and political attacks. Alexander Schweitzer will replace Bas. The Merz coalition faces declining polls, with AfD leading in surveys and suffering setbacks in recent regional elections.
